Dragon Age 4 - now The Veilguard

It does seem kind of like Dragon Age by way of Mass Effect but... it is recognisably Dragon Age, recognisably very much a "Bioware RPG", and frankly, it looks pretty damn cool, is this is like, super-early like the trailer specifically says.

... I don't hate this, looks like more dodging and parrying in this incarnation of DA. It'll be interesting to see how the different classes play.

That looks fun. The sliding bit reminds me of Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor. I'm guessing Rook is one of several options for the main character?

Rook is the name of the main character like Hawke in DA2, they're fully customizable. There are apparently six backgrounds like Antivan Crow, Grey Warden, and so on, and presumably three classes like the other DA games (I imagine with various subclasses as usual).

Hoping they have a couple of Rook voice options like they did with DAI - which I believe had at least two masc and two femme voices but no confirmation on that.

That all sounds cool.

The characters still look a bit too cartoony for my taste in that image, but I didn't feel like they were too cartoony in the actual play footage, so that's fine. I love how Harding is snuggled up on the couch with slippers! LOL.

I also like how Neve has a prosthetic leg. And how the Qunari is looking straight at the camera with a look of extreme boredom on her face!

I’m in. Harding is awesome, and I miss ME2’s structure.
