I chose to subscribe to Pathfinder.

I've been happy with Paizo's stewardship of the brands, and trust them to produce a quality product, so I'm prepared to at least give them the chance.

I choose "Subscription to Pathfinder" but that's not 100% accurate. I only had a couple of issues of Dragon left (my Dungeon subscription happened to end on the last issue) which was good for 1 issue of Pathfinder. I choose not to subscribe, and will see how much I like it.

I admit to not being a big fan of the adventure path paradigm. Since this isn't a commitment heavy 1-20 path, I might like it better. Also, $20 per month is a pretty huge commitment as well.

I went with back issues. My credit only got me about 4 or 5 issues of Pathfinder with the international shipping rates, as opposed to 11 back issues of either Dungeon or Dragon. Not a big problem figuring out where I was going to go.

Now I just gotta figure out which ones.

My transition goes to Pathfinder, of which I'll get 7 issues (the entire first AP and then a 'preview' of the second). I'll re-evaluate after that, and if I like it enough, I'll be ordering them through Amazon.ca (which will be considerably more reasonably priced for me).

I'm unsure if I'll do so, because even though I love adventures, and particularly love APs, as it stands right now I'm somewhat afraid that the Pathfinder APs will be too difficult to insert into my long-running FR setting, unlike the Dungeon APs (especially the first and third).

I went with Pathfinder because it's only going to cost me about $10 an issue. When that deal runs out, I will not continue to subscribe. I have no intention of paying $20 or even $15 per issue of Pathfinder. It's too expensive, the product doesn't really appeal to me, and frankly, I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling for supporting Paizo. I'm not a fan of some of their business practices.

What business practices are you referring to? I haven't ever had a problem with them (or heard of anyone that has) so I am interested in hearing about your disagreement with them.

Edit: I don't subscribe to Dungeon or Dragon (or rather I didn't at the time they made the announcement). I let my subscription lapse a couple of years ago. I have subscribed to the first Pathfinder AP. I will see what it is like and go from there. I don't anticipate going beyond the first 6 issues though. The cost is just too high for me for a monthly subscription and I it would take my group well over a year to get through the first AP. In that time a second AP would have started and finished.

At least they have reduced the levels from 1-20 to 1-15. Hopefully we'll see smaller "adventure paths" in the future.

Even at that rate, my group will still take over a year to finish one AP (we play once a fortnight only).

I wonder how small the AP's will go to? I could see a 1-10 or a 5-15 AP being made if Pathfinder runs for long enough. I'm not too sure about a 5-20 one though.
