Dragon Magazine #318 not your typical April issue

Ugh, everyone has their magazine but me here!

Well, almost everyone, who didnt get theirs yet?

And Good Reflex makes sense for Ninja, maybe the Fortitude also (like Rangers have) but its best to see the whole class before I make any judgements.

And I wasn;t asking to post the entire article, just the table

My copy of the issue has good ref, poor fort, but it also has a monk-like AC bonus column. Mayhaps that the original poster read the chart wrong.
WOOOPS. That I did. Too long a day at work. :o :o

That is utter crap... they never flipped out and chopped off any heads so there is no possible way they could be REAL ninjas. Did you ever see them fighting pirates? I sure didn't. Nope, the turtles were amphibious and so are most comfortable in water. That should tell you that they are in fact Pirates in disguise trying to cash in on REAL ninja's sweetness and by sweetness I mean total coolness.

Never read the original comic where they do flip out and kill people did you?

JPL is your real name Geoffrey C. Grabowski? Dinosaurs vs. Robots is something that has come up before.

and the real turtles also fought triceratops monks in an outer space area for their freedom.

i dont think they ever fought pirates, but raphael did flip out all the time. :)

I won't list the entire class but I will say it's good Reflex save only, poor Will and Fort.

Here it goes: The ninja
d6 hit dice, rogue saving throws and BAB, 6 + int skills per level. Most rogue skills but intimidate, forgery, use rope and use magice devic. Also get concentration. Trapfinding at first level. Monk AC bonus(works exactly like a monk's including wis bonus). Proficient with simple weapons, hand crossbow, monk weapons, and short sword. No armor or shiled proficiencies. Ki power (only when unarmored and unencumbered) usuable wis bonus plus half level per day: ghost step(swift invisiblity) at 2nd, ki dodge (swift blur) at 6th, Ghost strike (ghost touch) at 8th, ghost step(ethereal)at 10th, greater ki dodge (50% concealment) at 18th, ghost form (ethereal jaunt) at 20th. Gets +2 bonus on will save if any ki power uses left. Sudden strike (sneak attack only usable on opponents denied dex) same progression as rogue's sneak attack. Great leap at 4th (always considered running when jumping), acrobatics(+2 on balance, climb, jump, and tumble) at 6th, additional +2 at 12th and 18th. Evasion at 12th level. Vertical run (like up the walls feat) at 7th. Poison use at 3rd that becomes a move action at 9th, and a swift astion at 13th. Ghost mind (SR versus scrying spells equal to 20 + ninja level at 14th). Finally ghost sight(can see invisible and ethereal things) at 16th level. I think that covers it all.

Yeah but Rapael wielded Sais which are believe it or not blunt weapons though I suppose you could sharpen the tips to become piercing weapons. Anyway... while it indeed was possible to flip out it was totally IMPOSSIBLE for him to flip out AND CHOP PEOPLE'S HEADS OFF. Thus, he wasn't a real ninja. The only turtle that might have made a passable ninja is Leonardo because he had paired swords that COULD chop off heads but then again they were Katana not Ninja-To so he also wasn't a real ninja.

Godzilla seeks to destroy Japan, and all of the mechs in the Godzilla movies were designed specifically to combat Godzilla.

Therefore, the ninjas invented the mechs to that they could fight the invading dinosaurs.

So the ninja mechs would have really friggin big swords so they could chop off Godzilla's head. The mechs would also have a "Flip Out" capability which would increase their combat effectiveness by over 100%.

I dunno. Looks like a ghostbusting ninja class to me, at first glance. (Got my #318.) At least it couldn't blow away the Ninja Spy prestige class. OBTW, I'm not warmed up to this Sudden Strike class feature, which IMHO looks like a half-strength Sneak Attack.
