And I call it...

DINOPIRATES OF NINJA ISLAND!

Congratulations. You have just been added to my signature.

Dark Jezter, I am not worthy to share a sig with Robert Howard. But I thank you.

d4...it shows promise, doesn't it?

And you could have monastic orders that teach martial arts inspired by dinosaurs.

"ANGRY PTERODACTYL TAKES FLIGHT!"

"TYRANNOSAURUS FIST!"

An eft is an immature newt, at least in the real world. It'll be interesting to see if the psionic creature is even remotely like its namesake.

Demiurge out.
No, in this case, an eft is an evil shadow/bone thingy that eats people... which is close to a baby newt, but not quite as scary.

Ninjas, pirates, and dinosaurs.

Dammit. That shoulda been my setting search submission.

JPL, if you're ever in the Detroit Metropolitan Area, I'm inviting you to a game. Guess what you'll be DMing...

This idea totally rocks! I'd buy a copy of this campaign setting. I'd take this over Eberron any day. Anything with ninjas in the title can't be too bad.

Thank you, gentlemen.

Now that I've actually received that issue...I think those warforged are nifty. And that picture of the vanara? Awsome.

So I'm adding them both to DINOPIRATES OF NINJA ISLAND.

Dinosaurs. Pirates. Ninjas. Robots. Monkeys.

Man, that SO woulda won the setting search.

Many people think so, but the theory is easily refuted. The most famous ninjas of all time* were, in fact, NOT mammals.
*: Rafael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo, of course.

That is utter crap... they never flipped out and chopped off any heads so there is no possible way they could be REAL ninjas. Did you ever see them fighting pirates? I sure didn't. Nope, the turtles were amphibious and so are most comfortable in water. That should tell you that they are in fact Pirates in disguise trying to cash in on REAL ninja's sweetness and by sweetness I mean total coolness.

But who built these robots, you ask?

Was it the clever monkeys?

The bloodthirsty pirates?

The mysterious ninja?

Only the dinosaurs know for certain...and they aren't talking.

[Well, maybe some of them can talk. I'm not sure yet. Just brainstorming.]

Oh...and we'll need some giant enchanted mecha, too.

To fight the dinosaurs.

Mecha are Japanese...like ninja.

Mecha are giant robots.

Giant robots are the natural enemies of dinosaurs.

It all fits together.
