Dragon Magazine: Monster Ecologies to be released!

IIRC it is in 173. It has a Dark Sun humanoid (gith?) holding a bell looking down on a caravan.

Edit, pity this is only going to be the new ecologies. I like the Monster Hunters and the 2 gnomes with their human ally, both by Richards.

The paper stock we're using will make this feel more like a softcover book than like a magazine. A good comparison would be "Red Hand of Doom," which is the same number of pages and has a similar stock.

Because they called it a "magazine." I'm picturing the type of cover and page stock that is used for Alpinist which retails for $12.95 a pop, but it's something that is definitely not your typical magazine...but I wouldn't call it a book.

I don't remember the issue, but I think it was the ecology of the flind, not the gnoll.

This is wonderful news for someone who loved this line of articles "back in the day" when they began.

I hope they are as successful as back then!

I think a compilation of the ecologies is a great idea, I would just rather see a expanded monster manual featuring ecologies and different statblocks. That would be cool. I know that Paizo and WotC work hand in hand with one another and I think it would be awesome to see something like that, it would be huge though probably, so in the meantime I will just go with this.
