Here's a quick way to build your average DBZ Warrior...

Take Cosmic Power (Cost: 8; Action: Half; Range: Normal; Duration: Sustained.). For the base cost, you get Energy Blasts at normal range, a Force Field, Flight, Transmutation, Immunities and can sense cosmic forces with a spot check.

Now, turn the sense cosmic forces with sense Chi, drop Force Field and replace it with Amazing Save: Damage, drop Immunities altogether, and Transmutation with Strike.

Chi Power
Cost: 4
Action: Half
Range: Normal
Duration: Sustained

You've mastered your internal energies to a point greater then other beings, allowing you to do things considered impossible by others. You get the following abilities at your power rank:
-You can fire Energy Blasts of pure Chi at normal range
-You can focus your Chi in your physical attacks, giving you Strike at your power rank
-You can sustain more damage then normal beings, giving you Amazing Save: Damage at your power rank
-You can levitate by focusing your Chi in the Airwalker technique, giving you Flight at your power rank
-You can sense the use of Chi abilities, and even determine what it's being used for with a spot check, (DC set by the GM). The base increment is 10 feet, doubled for every power rank. You are at -1 at your spot checks per range increment beyween you and the phenomenon.

Power Stunts: You can gain any of the following powers as power stunts of Chi Power: Dazzle, Dimensional Travel, Disintegration, ESP, Healing, Snare, Telepathy, Telekinesis or Teleportation

Extras:
-Boost: You can channel your Chi to improve one of your attributes like the Boost power at your power rank
-Energy Field: With some concentration and a loud Kiai, you can expand your Chi into a damaging field of raw Chi, like the Energy Field power at your power rank.

Flaw
-Missing Effect: For each base effect of Chi Power that you cannot use, you can apply a flaw to the powre. For exemple, if you cannot fly using your Chi Power, that counts as one flaw. If cannot also create Energy Blasts, that counts as two flaws, and so forth.

How does that feel? I thought of adding Super-Strength and Super-Speed, but that would've raised it's cost to 14+ points, and those are seperate abilities in any case.

Badass again!!

2 bad ass M&M things in one day (see Neo's post).

Great work for a base to start from. Then add or remove others to customise your Z fighter. I would love to see someone do a breakdown in a supplemental for most of the main guys and some of the villans. Bad ass agian!

I'm going to show just how anal I can get over these things and post this minor nitpick.

For a DBZ game, it should be called "ki", not "chi". "Chi" is the Chinese pronounciation of that character, "ki" is the Japanese pronounciation. DBZ is Japanese, and hence, "ki" is what should be used. Believe me on this one, I have the untranslated manga (I can speak and read Japanese with a degree of proficiency) and they say "ki" not "chi" in that. The original anime also.

The translated manga being published now by Viz uses "chi" its true, but thats because that term is more widely known that "ki" is. Its another case of Viz screwing up.
