So I finally have the fast track on a copy of the new Dragonlance Campaign Setting book, and I should have it in my hands within a week. I had mentioned in previous threads that my gaming group is getting together after a year of no gaming to 'try it again'. We are going to be using 3.5 and I had planned a Forgotten Realms game, because I thought I wouldn't have the new DLCS in time.
I've also mentioned that I am going to be changing the War of the Lance for my campaign. Basically, I will be starting the characters during the middle of the Dragonlance Chronicles books.....but things are going badly for the good guys - the Dragon Armies are winning. The High Clerist Tower falls. Verminaard stays in control of Pax Tharkas, etc. etc.
One of my players is going to play a Dwarvern Fighter, and an Elven Wizard, the other will probably play a Human aspiring to be a Knight of Solomnia, and a Kender Rogue.
I was thinking about starting with the fall of the High Clerist's Tower and going from there......I'm looking for adventure ideas, and any advice on what to keep in mind if I am changing the War of the Lance era.
