Drakerider Prestige Class

I'm looking for some advice on creating a new prestige class. I'm not very good at these. The idea for the class, is that they are an order of knights who ride on Drakes (in my world, drakes are 6 foot tall (at the shoulder), have about 5 Int, and come in 9 colors (each is a different alignment, and abilities) The Drakerider class is going to mainly have abilities that focus on furthering the cause of their alignment, and have spellcasting (divine, but with a spelllist of arcane and divine spells). For class skills and the like, I'd say something similar to the ranger or druid, stuff that deals with nature. Can anybody help me consolidate this?

Well, they'd need Ranks in Ride: Drake. Mounted Combat and Mounted Archery would be good feats.

Knight would have best base attack progression, and good fort saves, bad reflex and will. Powers will reflect alingment. You can give them spells, but I'd just give a few spell like abilities.
