drop defenses

Can player characters drop their defenses? If so, does this take an action? And is this topic addressed in the core rules? Thanks.

e.g. Can a character drop his Will and accept a Command from a friendly cleric to be moved out of danger?

An player can voluntarely say they accept the powers from an ally, if they dont accept it, just roll the attack..

So if youre warlord say's he wants to push an ally (if an power say's that) and the ally accepts, then push away..

If the ally rejects and wants to stay, and the warlock really wants to use the power, let him make the normal attack roll..

I'd say its fine, if the player wants to be hit by an ally's power.

It worked that way in 3rd edition that you could voluntarily "fail" a saving throw, so even if it's a house rule it should be perfectly fine.

Notably, spell resistance didn't work that way, and it's not so clear armor class did. Still, it's probably not a problem to allow people to voluntarily choose to be hit.

It wasn't as easy, true, but you could still lower your SR (or at least creatures which naturally had SR could) by taking a Standard Action.
