Drow forsaker

I have a question regarding the spell resistance for a drow forsaker. How much SR does a Drow Fighter 4 / Forsaker 6 have? He has 10 drow levels (SR 21) and 6 forsaker levels (SR 16). Does this stack to a total of 37??? Or is it always a base of 10/11 + bonuses.. so that this combo would make a 10 + 10 + 6 (26 SR?)

I'm almost positive that when you have SR from two different sources, you simply take the highest value. They don't stack in any way. In this case, you'd take the Drow SR value.

The forsaker prestige cless says that SR DO stack.. but I don't know if I should add them together, or just add the bonuses to a base..

The forsaker stuff says they stack, but to avoid ridiculousness, I'd do
Drow SR (21)
+ Forsaker SR (16)
- Forsaker base SR (10)
= SR 27.

This would remove the redundant 10 base from your SR; that should be plenty good. And you're only a 13 ECL PC? Sheesh, no spells should be hitting you!

Ah, sorry then! I didn't know the Forsaker class specified that SR stacks. Oops!

I'd do what Felix outlined in that case.

The published way that Foraker works is that it stacks with other SR, so it DOES make a very effective defense against (cartain) magical attacks.
This does not make the Forsaker immune to magic - there are many magical ways to still affect him, and he is still vulnerable to other attacks, of course.

I believe there was a tiny blurb in an errata, or FAQ, or was it a Sage Advice or just an email? that mentioned that Forsaker SR doesn't stack.

It's really quite simple - do you want the Forsakers in your game to be (effectively) immune to some kinds of magic, or do you want them to not get much benefit for all they give up (and giving up magic is probably the biggest PrC cost in the entire game of 3E, in my eyes)?
