Drow seeker/hunter/foe

Thanks both DrowBane and Wavestone!

Wavestone, Ancestral Avenger is indeed the class I was thinking of, I just didn't look thru the issues far enough back. The drow on the cover might have given it way. I like the class but I think that DrowBanes Sworn Slayer suggestion might be the better route to go. In sworn slayer I will more quickly gain attack bonuses against Drow and the Nemesis Feat after three levels is HUGE! As for Ancestral Avenger, I'm not sure what I would do with the third level ability overcome spell resistance as my character is currently a Rogue. Also the progression to gain attack bonuses is much slower. The gains would be better will save more damage. However, the really cool abilities like Drowic Change, Demon Bane and SR don't kick in till 7th, 9th and 10th levels and by then my character will be about 14th-18th level. I'm sure I can find better ways the accomlish these gains. Besides, Sworn Slayer just has a cooler sounding ring to it. Rannos, Sworn Slayer of Drow!

Thanks again guys! Good Memories

The Sworn Slayer is just an awesome PrC. Basicly ya get +8 Favored enemy bonus, a wicked cool Exalted feat that you don't have to be Exalted for, and the ability to "Death Attack" your hated foe.

Drowbane is of course a Sworn Slayer (who happens to dabble in Iai Master :D)

Well just checking. ;) I mean not like I think Drow are cool. Just the popular belief of some in the RPG world.

I'm actually a bit of a "Drow fan boy". Drowbane just happens to have been my longest lived / most successful 2e character.

Aah, the self-loathing. You don't play Vampire by chance, do you? :p

You could always build this class as specialty priest of shaverash. cleric with favoured enemy and some other stuff. Turn spiders.

Loses all abilities if he ever smiles or laughs (tasha's hideous laughter will be a killer against you).

Ahh yes... Janus "Drowbane" Nasadra does in fact have issues. Hell, he even spent two weeks as a pseudo-vampire (cursed ring that gave all the bennies of vampirism... started to lure him to the "Darkside" so he cut off his own finger... led to a LotR "destroy the Ring!" series of misadventures).

If you're not above pillaging non-WotC sources, there's a nice little feat for spellcasters in AU/AE.

Hunter Mage, a ceremonial feat, allows the PC to "apply the enemy bane template to her spells"- meaning her damage-dealing spells will do 50% more damage against the selected foe.

Also for a background you can choose Shevarash, black bow as your favoured deity
It´s my favourite elf deity too, but as I´m in a good group I can´t go around killing drows without reason... but read about Shevarash he´s nice

Wouldn't call him "nice". A deity who's prejudiced against w hole (sub-)race and expects his followers never to laugh or to smile (until the drow are extinct) and to kill every member of said race - including the helpless, the unarmed, and chirlden, including babies, isn't really "nice". The last part could be only some of his followers, though.
