D&D 5E Druid Sorcerer combination

I know in Wild Shape, Druids are unable to cast spells until level 18. And only spells with somatic and verbal components. But I was curious if a Druid Sorcerer combination could cast spells in Wild Shape using Subtle Metamagic.

Not until level 18. This is because wild shape simply says you cannot cast spells in wildshape. Thats is only changed by the level 18 ability. Druid has the best capstone ability in the game so if you expect to reach level 20 I highly recommend going full druid.

By the book, no. Inability to cast spells is a specifically spelled-out restriction to Wild Shape.
