Druid vs. Druid

I'm looking for ideas on having a druid vs. druid adventure. The 15th-level druid IMC has her own forest and some number of guardians and such. The setting is homebrew, but references from Greyhawk may be acceptable. The other players have similar level character and will obviously help (as she will with their personal problems).

I can of course come up with other adventures that involve risks to her forest, but I was thinking that having another high-level druid (or multiclass or whatever) to "fight" would be a little different. What would cause two high-level druids to be at such odds that they may end up in a rumble, or perhaps just sending their minions against each other? Could, perhaps, the other druid want to (oh I don't know) "move" her forest somewhere else?

Any ideas are appreciated.

I think there is a Dungeon adventure with a treant druid ghost. He needs something redeeming (eradicate the evil woodsmen?) done to the forest so he can be put to rest.

I do not have Eberron. I do have FR, though, and would happily steal from there if there are ideas in it that I have missed.

I seem to vaguely recall the blighter. I will look into that.

That treant druid ghost sounds incredibly interesting and fits well with the location of the forest. It's called the Nulb Forest if that rings a bell for those "in the know." ;)

Back in the day (1E), there were various druid circles in Greyhawk. In order to advance in level beyond a certain point, the druid had to displace a druid of higher level. Monks had a similar mechanic.

Maybe the PC is being challenged by an usurper who wants her place on the druid circle. The conflict might start with encounters between various minions. The rival druid might want to prove that the PC cannot protect the forst, and so sends various unnatural creatures in to destroy the natural balance -- or hire hunters, woodcutters, etc to raid, burn, and pillage the forest. Maybe the rival convinces a humanoid tribe to move in and employ a little "slash and burn" agriculture. This might all culminate in a personal challenge from the rival when he/she considers the PC sufficiently weakened.

'Course you can have conflict from sources having nothing to do with class--a fight over wealth and power, rivalry between associated clans or tribes, or, hey, here's something throughout fantasy lit but rarely used in AD&D--a fight stemming from a love triangle or other matters of the heart

Whoa! Hold on righ there, Nancy! -- the druid HAS her OWN forest?!

No druid worth her mistletoe would ever claim to OWN a part of nature. The world of green and furry and scaly things belongs to no one in particular, because we're all a part of it. Our lives depend on interacting with nature as respectful equals, not laying claim to some vaguely defined plot of land as a material possession.

Something's wrong with the entire scenario. You should punish the druid as soon as possible and disallow any of her class abilities until she learns a hard lesson about the world around her.

And then slap yourself a few times for allowing this to happen.

Sicko.

I once had as a BBEG a Druid who embraced the destruction of the Storm and Earthquake. He remained almost permanently in the form of a Tornado (Air Elemental)

I also over lay a wolf theme and as servants he had a Werewolf Marshal cohort, natural and supernatural wolf companions and cannibal pixies (followers) whom he lead on an eternal hunt in order to show the World the Destructive Power of the Savage Storm.

Anyway such a Destruction Druid could easily be opposed by a more 'balanced' or growth-aligned Druid
