Plus it looks cool. I am having a sortof custom bag of holding made for it so I can put my snake in the bag and have it weigh almost nothing (as well as keep it hidden). It will also give it a good supply of air so it can stay in there for awhile.

Oh my goodness! Your character is Jake the Snake Roberts!!

I have, however, seen posts which indicated it was on the errata block, however.

So it is not in any current errata or FAQ? If so, that means that change isn't currently RAW ;)

Correct. They stack for the purposes of HD and time limits. It's just a typo. Otherwise MoMF would be ridiculously weak, as you might understand.

Even if it didn't you'd still get Troll at least :)

Edit: Found the link that contains proof: http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=5259048

I believe the line is, "It isn't official until it's in the Errata."

So until that time, MoMF levels stacking for purposes of HD (not mentioned in MoMF) and time limits (example character implies that it doesn't), this is a house rule. A good house rule, yes. But still a house rule. :p

I generally don't recommend an animal companion until you've reached a higher level so you can select a more powerful one. Also, make sure you can give it regular improvements through your Druid level or else you'll find that it will do little more than get in the way and die quickly.

If a druid releases her companion from service, she may gain a new one by performing a ceremony requiring 24 uninterrupted hours of prayer. This ceremony can also replace an animal companion that has perished.

You can dismiss your animal companion and aquire a new one at any time. They aren't like familiars.

Um. OK. Who the heck is Jake the Snake Roberts?

A professional wrestler from the 80's. :D

Hey, I've been working up a similar character, and my main worry is dealing with DR while wildshaped. Are there other abilities besides Sense Weakness and the Nature's Warrior's Nature's Weapon(God, that's a lot of apostrophes) that can be useful in this regard?
