Dune: Part Three | Official Teaser Trailer

How are the prequel books?
Hit and miss. Personally, to horror of Dune and Herbert purists, i liked prequel Houses trilogy much better than Herbert's books 4-5-6. Maybe it's just that i don't care about philosophy mixed with acid trip so much, but i do love good sf political ploys and story.

Butlerian Jihad trilogy is ok ish. It's interesting, it's easy reading, follows traditional sf storytelling. I get why some people don't like them. But, if you look at those 3 books for themselves, detached from Frank's work, specially from it's last 3 Dune novels, they are solid pieces of action military sf.

One book i would recommend for people who like Dune, but it's kind of hard to find, is Dune Encyclopedia. If you manage to hunt down pdf somewhere, it's worth of reading.
