Definitely felt like dune on the first outing, solid start.

If I were to pick nitpick anything, its the notion that this is 10 THOUSAND years before paul. Even in some of the trailers and reviews they think its 1000 years, because 10,000 is so mind boggling long. Its weird that so many things seem so similar to Paul's time....yet this is a span of time greater than basic human history is now. I get we abandoned thinking machines but that is a incredible among of stagnation.

At the end of the day though, its just a number, its not like there is some grand timeline I need to care about to watch dune. Its just really far before paul, its all you really need to know

my wife and I really enjoyed the two movies and we enjoyed episode I and are looking forward to when we get a chance to watch the next one even though it won’t be for a while.

I like liked the emperor’s truthseeker, hopefully what follows will be cool.

I want to see the Arrakis pyromancer story develop including why his secondary target was affected on another planet.

Hopefully the emperor develops a spine or some competence soon. Great villain actor but the role so far does not seem competent feared ruler who establishes a 10,000 year reign.

The 10,000 year time frame for the same three top noble families bugs me a little as well even with life extending spice. Minor nitpick though.

We watched the first one yesterday. Everything was good. It reminded me more of the Children of Dune mini series from a few years back than the recent movies. Not a fan of kids in jeopardy or dying horribly on screen while screaming and begging for their lives. Might not be watching the rest of this.

My wife and I loved the movies and had not read Dune really for decades (high school requirement).

Sh has been trying to get me to watch this. Sounds like if u like the movies this will appeal. Guess I will sit still and watch with her.

Kudos to the 4 actresses playing Valya/younger Valya and Tula/younger Tula. Besides the physical resemblance, they have clearly worked on matching mannerisms, voice, and speech patterns and do an excellent job, IMO.

This show is definitely a slow burn. I turned on closed captioning to see if we could see what the words were in the dreams, to no success. Which means we aren't supposed to know them, so I'm not looking them up.

Still liking the show, but I'm unsure I love the show.
