Dungeon 140

So it's pretty much confirmed at this point that they keep Nicholas Logue chained to a typewriter in the dungeons beneath the Paizo offices, right? The only other explanation I can think of is that "Nicholas Logue" is just a pseudonym for a crack team of adventure writers who prefer to remain anonymous.

Heart of Hellfire Mountain, by Dave Olson - A fire giant king calls for the PCs' aid in this adventure for 20th-level characters! Although evil, King Snurreson is willing to coexist with other races, but even he recognizes that a growing threat in nearby Hellfire Mountain must be stopped. He tasks the PCs with destroying the growing cult of the God of Hellfire before they lay waste to the surrounding regions, even if it means killing his daughter, now a high-ranking cultist! But can even the PCs' stop the forces of Mephistopheles? Sidebars cover using divinations, what the fire giants know, two vile feats (Disciple of Darkness and Evil Brand) from the BoVD, hellfire itself, and the artifact The Heart of Mephistopheles. An appendix reprints the BoVD spells hellfire and hellfire storm.
This adventure also includes a little sneak-peek at Fiendish Codex 2: Tyrants of the Nine Hells in the form of two new critters: the pleasure devil (advanced to CR 17) and the hellfire engine (CR 19).

I also like the small nod to the old Against the Giants series. :)

Indeed. No longer do erinyes play second fiddle to succubi in terms of sexy evilness! "Pleasure devils are an enhanced form of erinyes, specialists in the arts of seduction and corruption."

The picture of Lady Madori, the pleasure devil in this adventure, does her kind much justice. ;)

Hubba, hubba. Fiendish Codex 2 may just be worth the purchase.

I really enjoyed the nod to Against the Giants, as well as the references to Greyhawk history in "Bullywug Gambit" -- the Wormfall Festival, a small grey key card ....

I'm just wondering who the ancient Suel named "L. of G" was.

The sheer amount of easter eggs in "The Bullywug Gambit" is one of the coolest parts of that adventure. By my count, there's nods to about a dozen different adventures in there, and I'm sure I missed a couple.

cool, can't wait to see it. :) hell, if for no other reason than the fact that it's called the Bullywug Gambit. ;)

Is Dave Olson involved in the design of FC2? Or how did he get sneak peeks? MAN am i anxious for this book to come out.

And this adventure sounds totally sweet. All... firey, and stuff.
