Dungeon 146

Okay NF has the issue in his hands and has read it.

I can answer any questions as best I can.

Selfish questions here, Nightfall:

1- Who did the cartography for Spawn of Sehan?

2- Who did the artwork? How is it? What parts of SoS got illustrations?

3- Are the wystes still in the adventure?

4- How is Kanuut (the actual spawn of Sehan) statted out (class levels/HD/template)?

Non-selfish questions now:

5- How "adult" is the Scuttlecove adventure and background?

6- Are there any stand out locations there worth mentioning?

I believe it's Rob Lazzaretti.

Udon with Todd Gak, Jim Zubkavich and Shane Law. I liked the art. It was very well done.

Pictures of Kanuut, Mutated Girallon, and the Wystes in the True Source.

3- Are the wystes still in the adventure?

Yes, in fact they are advanced.

4- How is Kanuut (the actual spawn of Sehan) statted out (class levels/HD/template)?

Male Half Farspawn Cleric 7.

Non-selfish questions now:

5- How "adult" is the Scuttlecove adventure and background?

Fairly adult. They have a pretty suggestive picture of Tyralandi. They also talk about one of the major NPCs having "relations" with his imp familiar.

6- Are there any stand out locations there worth mentioning?

Other than Porphry House? Maybe but I liked the House more. ;)

Shade,

Yes it does deal vile damage but only vile Charisma damage. (1d6)

I'm still waiting for Dungeon 145. I sent an email to customer service last week, but was told that because I live in Canada, I have to wait 6 weeks before declaring it well and truly lost. :\ I guess today is the day, then. If it ain't in my mailbox...
Heh, you're impatient! ;)

I don't have #145 either, but since it's the April issue, I always wait to ask Paizo about it until the last day of April (or if the next issue shows up). Though much of that is theoretical - I've only had about 4 missing issues or so in 4 years (and none of the times I had to ask for a replacement did the original ever show up).

But yeah. Slow to Canada.

Heh. After living in Texas almost my entire life (first Houston, then Austin), I can assure you, it's not that Paizo hates Texas...

It's that our post offices are staffed primarily by crack-addled chimps. The few decent workers--and they do exist, I've met a few--are hard pressed to keep the poo-flinging primates from just eating the mail as it comes in, let alone getting it delivered with any alacrity or accuracy.

I'm not so sure about this. My other subscriptions arrive in a decent amount of time. BusinessWeek gets here either Monday or Tuesday, and Wired arrives the weekend before they post the articles on their web site.

I think it's Paizo's fulfillment house or houses.

While I agree with you, and do not think that anyone at Paizo actually hates Texas, or any other geographical region for that matter, I have to concur with Bento that the only mailed items I have issues receiving in a timely matter via the postal serivces are items from Paizo...

The postal problems, which based on the editor's comments, are kind of beyond their control is the main reason why I hestitate to get a subscription. Especially since the distributors are getting the issues out to the booksellers at about the same time the issues are beginning to arrive at the subscribers. I just called around, and one of our B&Ns has issue 146.

Without driving an hour and a half one-way into Houston, I don't have that option, so I must reply upon subsriptions. I wonder if Paizo has considered offering a higher priced subscription rate with shipping via a more reliable method (like UPS Ground)?
