Razz,

Like Shroomy said, no new baddie in Scuttlecove. In Part two of Spawn of Sehan, there's a revised Wyste. Also a revised Meenlock. Otherwise, nothing significant. The NPCs in Scuttlecove (the Pirate Captains) are all half Lemorian fiends with class levels.

Revised wyste and meenlock eh? Interesting. I really wish WotC would revise a lot of the creatures in MM2. They have some great creatures in there...just horrible game mechanics and CR.

Well, I wouldn't call the Orlath new, but it's revised so it technically counts as new.

Hey, James Jacobs, or anyone else on Dungeon's staff, could you consider a revised Klurichir demon sometime in the future? Such an awesome demon beyond the balor yet it's mechanics were horribly written.

There's probably going to be a klurichir in Dungeon before the Savage Tide campaign wraps up. In Fiendish Codex, I tackled the problem by just revising down their CR to 17 or thereabouts. Doesn't fix the fact that they can summon balors, really, but if one shows up in Savage Tide I'll see what I can do.

It won't be tougher than a balor, though. As far as I'm concerned, the only things that should be tougher than balors are unique demons. Otherwise, it just turns into an arms race seeing who can make the next toughest demon.

They just didn't make the cut? Was it due to too much overlap with the molydeus?

I'm guessing so.

*thinks that James doesn't want to make a scene isn't it's not an arms race* Like the song goes. ;)

Very cool. I hope you can throw in a Myrmyxicus as well.

I noticed that the Wastrilith demon was different in Dungeon. It did not have the Summon Monster IX as a 17th level caster. I'm guessing that you guys took some liberties to get it to the right CR. I was hoping you could do the same to the Klurichur and Myrmyxicus. Perhaps its vorpal bite can attack as a separate entity, much like the molydeus snakebite. Also, it would be great if the Myrmyxicus could actually attack with both its scythes and natural attacks in the same round.

Since the adventure will soon be going into the Abyss, I'm hoping to see some wild stuff. Spirited Charging Armanites, Marilith Dervishes, Marshal Succubi, Nalfeshnee weilding wands of enervation, Warchanter Lilitu. There's no end to the possibilities of the Abyss.

I'm not so sure about this. My other subscriptions arrive in a decent amount of time. BusinessWeek gets here either Monday or Tuesday, and Wired arrives the weekend before they post the articles on their web site.

I think it's Paizo's fulfillment house or houses.
ditto.

i have no problems with any other subscriptions. only my paizo one.

Well the fluff text on the klurichir states that "if balors have nightmares, it's a klurichir".

And it was always intended to be tougher than a balor with its four arms, pincers, vorpal pincers, improved grab, sorceror spells, spell-like abilities and tough ability scores. I just would hate to see a watered down version of it, honestly. It's something different from a balor cause, honestly, using a balor as the big-bad-demon boss all the time gets dull. A klurichir can spicen things up and for a higher level party. :D

Even the War of the Spider Queen Novel Resurrection show-cased a klurichir and stated how mighty of a demon it was, even compared to balors.

The postal problems, which based on the editor's comments, are kind of beyond their control is the main reason why I hestitate to get a subscription. Especially since the distributors are getting the issues out to the booksellers at about the same time the issues are beginning to arrive at the subscribers. I just called around, and one of our B&Ns has issue 146.

I'm subscribing because I don't like paying $8 an issue and I wanted to make sure I got all of the STAP.

Having worked in comic book retail & wholesale for several years I can understand both fans and publishers positions. Fans can never have it fast enough, while if there's any delays publishers (and retailers) get reamed out for it.

I can tell from most people's postings on this board that there's something else going on and Paizo really doesn't want to address this with us because it's a business issue. But when we know that some subscribers are getting issues weeks before others, and that we both paid the same amount of money, Paizo need to consider other jobbers when contracts come up for renewal. Maybe raising rates a little more on subs, say $5 an issue instead of $4, would help get all of us better delivery service.
