Carrach: You're pretty sure that the creatures came down the hallway. They definitely did not climb up from below. Between the stomping of the party and Rothgar's fall, tracking the creatures in this section of the hallway would be difficult, if not impossible. Your search attempt turns up nothing.

Cassandra: You open the door opposite the door Sando had opened. A small clicking sound is followed by a rush of gas, and two fans of flame fill the area directly in front of the door. Pressing yourself flat against the wall as soon as you can, you manage to avoid most of the flames [Reflex save, roll of 12 on d20, +0 base, +2 Dex, +2 circumstance, total 16, success; fire damage, roll 7 on 3d4, total 3 damage (half damage, successful Reflex save)].

The door rolls to the side, revealing a dark room with ten foot high ceilings. Rubble and splintered furniture litter the floor, with most of the detritus heaped between a pair of crude five foot diameter tunnels in the west and northwest walls. In the wall near the door, a wooden lever is set in an iron plate. It can slide up or down and currently rests in the "down" position.

"What possessed you to do this?", Carrach yells into Cassandra's face.

"Is it so difficult to realize that these doors are trapped? I thought we had already established that, but then, perhaps you were thinking about other things, like your real reason for being down here?"

"Anyway, this closes it. Our next choice has be one of these tunnels, but which? Also, how will we proceed? Normally I would suggest that I should take point, due to the fact that our people don't really need any source of light, but these tunnels are ..., well, a bit on the short side - two to three feet at least - for me or my brother to act comfortably.

So anyone's got a good idea regarding this?" Carrach finishes, turning to look at Sando.

"Now what's your problem? The door is open, not? You didn't seem to intend to open the door or possess a safe method of opening it, so I did. Yeah, so I took a little fire. If you can't stand the heat, don't work in the kitchen! Oh, and I take a front position, thank you very much." Cassandra tosses back at Carrach before stepping aside.

OOC for Sando: Which tunnel would that be? Are you talking about the tunnels in the room Cassandra opened? There's a north and a west. Let me know which one you're checking out, and I'll post what you see.

Sando: The light from the torch shows that the tunnel ends roughly twenty feet from its entrance and then branches off to the north and south. It looks as though it were recently created.

Everyone: Vorik shuffles his feet. "Maybe we should explore these tunnels. It could be a more effective, and safer, way for us to get around Jzadirune."

OOC: I used my common sense and pushed this bad boy along.

"I'd be happy to actually go somewhere as opposed to just hang around at this spot. Let's see what the gnome found." Cassandra says, as she goes after the gnome.
