Dungeon and Dragon submission guidelines are up

I wonder how fast they'll toss these things up on the net. It's not like a print mag where you only have a hundred pages a month to work with. You could start whacking these things up as soon as they're finished. That would be pretty sweet - new module ever four or five days instead of three a month.

Get those monkeys behind the typewriters busy. :p

I did something similar for the $100,000 setting submission thing.

Even today, I still get letters from Keith Baker that start out like this: "Dear Biggus, Are you still a retard? I just bought a gold plated Lamborghini. Ha ha ha!"

Thanks BG for giving me my first laugh out loud moment of the day (it's 3pm here).

Scott,

This Rodney Thomson fellow is driving me nuts. Can't you find him so freelance work or somthing so he'll stop bothering me?

Thanks,

Keith,

Is it that bad? If it is, then maybe we can do something about it. Is he obsessed with anything enough that if I put him on it, he'll leave you alone?

Scott,

Yes, it is that bad. I've got an intern working full time just to get rid of mail, email, and scare him away from the door. As to the other, I heard he runs some Star Wars site, and doesn't that game need updating anyway? Check into it.

Thanks,
Keith

Keith,

You were right. Pounced on the offer right away. Didn't even ask about pay. Now all we have to do is convince Lucas to green-light a revision.

Reading this was the quite posibly second best thing of my day. Number one was my wedding annivesary dinner w/my wife.

Thanks for making me laugh

Also interesting to see that Side Trek adventures are back in vogue. The disappeared once Dungeon went to their 3 adventure high-medium-low format. I'm glad to see that they will be making a return.

Happy Anniversary! And here's to many more.

But on a much sadder note, I never got any rejection letter. *sniff* *sniff*

..... O wait a minute, I didn't submit anything.

But a more interesting question was raised in this thread.
How often will new stuff be added to the Online Mag's?

Wow... That's highly unlikely. Sure they have more people at Wizards of the Coast than we do at Paizo, but they don't have THAT many...

...

Regarding the question of how much stuff we sent them: I alone forwarded more than 200 emails and files to Chris. And I had less stuff than Jason.

...

Regarding rejection emails: We tried to send out rejection emails to people, but in the last year or so we really started to fail in that regard. It sounds like Wizards of the Coast is going to have something of an automated system, which I think is splendid and provokes much jealousy from me. ;)

...

Regarding sending rejected proposals to Wizards of the Coast: I totally would. Different editorial department, different tastes. Not sending a query Paizo rejected to Wizards of the Coast is essentially the same thing as not asking out Girl B because Girl A rejected you.

...

It might seem odd to you that I would be helping answering these questions, but keep in mind that Paizo and Wizards of the Coast are still friends and business partners. I honestly wish Chris and his staff the best of luck with their endeavors. (And, yes, I sent in a couple submissions as well... he he he...)

My guess is that they were inundated as soon as the guidelines went up--I myself have sent over half a dozen queries :heh:--and that the system's just taking time to catch up.

Hrm... Now I am starting to get worried. Hasn't been a full 24 hours yet, but it's coming up on it, and I've yet to receive a single acknowledgment... :\
