[Dungeon] Dungeon/Polyhedron Goes Monthly

I have already logged complaints with the office of unfair trading, and my MP is also investigating this blatent disregard for customer rights.

Sort this out NOW, or my MP will.

Gee, I'm sure that there's a legitimate reason your part of the world hasn't gotten your magazines. It isn't like Paizo would WANT to disregard a large portion of their market.

This attitude is exactly why customer's suck (www.customerssuck.com)

Remove the legitimate in your post, and I'll agree with you.
The problem is due to ignorance of the EU laws, but given the complexity of international laws, I understand how they could stumble upon it, though it doesn't make the company right in not providing the magazine.

and I really like the new plan! (Now, I just hope that they'll return to mini-games that require the PHB instead of d20 modern).

As I am not intrested in the Poly content, I wont be buying the 1/3 Dungeon issues. I was somehow sceptical of the whole thing when they said that the Poly won't cost as anything.. yeah right ;)
You know they said the same thing about subscribing to Poly and getting free Dung? :p

I think this is a fair deal. While I absolutely *despise* Polyhedron, I think the new format makes up for it (as a multi-year subscriber - to *Dungeon* - I still get a full Dungeon magazine once every two months like I originally subscribed to, plus I get bonus subscriber Dungeon material).

While I would prefer Dragon pricing for this, I find Dungeon *much* more useful, and therefore am willing to pay the $1.00 more per issue (less, because I subscribe!).

Thumbs down on the d20 Modern stuff, but if it includes decent maps, I'm sure I can easily adapt it to my FUZION futuristic anime game. Remember: MAPS! Good maps always make a product worth its price.

But I have no idea when my subscription runs out...

It is great for me. Now I can get my copies of Polyhedron again, without having the Dungeon issues that my local DM likes to use for the current campaign.

while originally i thought this was a great deal i have to agree with one of the above posters: it aint' that great. Why?

For one thing i have to wait every 2 months to get a FULL copy of dungeon AND pay $14 to get it. To me that don't make sense. I don't use poly, don't like poly don't WANT poly but now i am stuck with it. I was all for the idea of spinning it off into a sepearte mag as i wouldn't need poly for anything as all i need is DUNGEON.

bah, damned if you do damned if you don't....now if they were to allow you to say take an option of having dungeon/X (where X is LGJ, Poly, ModernD20, starwars stuff) i would go for that. Let the customer choose what they want to bundle with their stuff.

Funny you should mention this, given what I've been talking about and working on all morning.

The new version of Poly will have new, cool-looking maps, oh yes.

Since we're on the subject of maps, can I make a suggestion? Can the maps go back to being b&w like they were before the advent of D&D 3E? To keep my players on their toes, I like switching the maps between different adventures. To do this , I use to copy them so it's easier to do. With the full color maps, they don't copy as well.
