Dungeons and Dragons Art and Arcana : A Visual History to be released Oct 23rd

A lot of great art in D&D history. But I'm afraid the period of late 2e (with the black reprints) and 3e was the dark period of D&D art. Man, much of it was really awful. Especially for a company well established at that time, so unlike OD&D (which had zero budget), there isn't an excuse.

Is this the 3rd D&D book they said was coming out this fall or is it a separate book from that?

BTW my birthday is October 23rd.
