Dungeons and Dragons: Swimsuit Edition

Tastefully?!

Well, there goes my idea for a drow elf wearing a skimpy spider-silk swimsuit. :D

I pinched that idea from Aurora's Whole Realms cataloge (D&D 2e).

Vampire in way overly caked suntan oil.

Shy Hedonistic Sorceress who uses illusion to appear she's wearing a suit.

Aboleth under a huge umbrella.

Ankheg making a sand castle.

Azer complaining it's not hot enough and gets a huge magnifying glass to sit under.

Beholder going ouch whenever it twitches an eyestalk.

Soaked Bugbear on a surfboard, riding the waves wile trying to get the hair out of his eyes.

Dragons playing softball with a dwarf in plate armor.

hehehehe

GDW's Challenge magazine had a couple of "Swimsuit Issues" some years ago. I had the picture of Cthulhu as a lifeguard up on my wall for a while ... :)

It's ALL about the mind flayers in swim suits.

(I've been working TOO late at night on this Mind Flayer book, methinks)

Two words:

Tentacle Hentai

Biggus Geekus, you might try a different name. "Axiomatic" is already used as a creature template that denotes a Lawful quality (like fiendish and celestial). Unless your weapons are weapons of absolute Law, anyway.

I might humbly suggest Legendary, or something of the type. While Legendary creatures were introduced in MotW, it retains the same feel of being bigger than life.

Sigh. And here I was hoping to see a Claudio Posas-rendered Mialee in a bikini within this thread. Oh, cruel fate.

Although it started as a joke in an Ed Greenwood chat at Gencon a few years ago, I would pay good money for a "Ladies of the 'Realms" Swimsuit calendar. Imagine tastefully done prints by Larry Elmore of the seven sisters, of Catti-brie, Alusair Nacacia, etc. (though not necessarily scantily clad!),

"Men of the Realms" could include Wulfgar, Fzoul Chembryl, etc. Not recycled artwork, mind you - but single protraits for each such character.

Perhaps even do it as a "flip-side" publication, in a similar manner to Dungeon/Polyhedron.
