Despite a years-long relationship between Wizards of the Coast and WizKids, the forthcoming release of the Eye of the Beholder marks the first time that Dungeons & Dragons made it to the clicky-base miniature skirmish game, HeroClix. The set will feature a premium pre-painted Beholder figure and its power card, two 3D objects on bases (one treasure pile with a chest and one treasure pile with a satchel) with their cards, a map, and 1d20.

The set is available for pre-order for Q4 2024 with a retail price of $24.99.

How would you play with this? Most of the Heroclix stuff seems to be superheroes. Are they producing a D&D themed starter set?
100% compatible.
I collect and play every couple of weeks and you can easily mix up Marvel, DC, TMNT, Star Trek, Iron Maiden, Yu-Gi-Oh, Sherlock Holmes, and so on. And I do.

I have run D&D since 1983. I recently prepped my first mimic for potential use in a session planned for next coming Saturday.

To keep things relevant: I haven't played Heroclix since about 2004 - but this could get me to try it again.
