I'm open minded. Much more than the PC creation part of Dungeonscape excited me; if it has the other campaign management tools I will probably support the Kickstarter. Then again, I play a lot more than just 5th edition. But I imagine a good chunk of it would be useful for any RPG system if I am thinking correctly about what they had talked about before.
That being said, I do hope that once the licensing and whatever OGL-type of stuff they come up with are out that Codename: Morningstar will be able to include that as well.
Perhaps my usual group is an exception, but digital means to support our games have become a near must have between very busy schedules and simple want for ease of use. And unfortunately, the tools available do not cover our needs at the table while playing as we wish they could. So I'm definitely still keeping my eye on the Trapdoor people, for the reasons above but also because they seem like good folks.
Curious, since I'm working on something along these lines myself: What do you want out of campaign management tools, that you aren't getting from what's out there now?

I don't think it needs it either. 3.x and 4e and PF really benefited from a digital character builder because the math was more complex, and it pulled from countless resources. I don't think (anyway i hope not) that 5e will get bloated like that. But I know there's still a high demand for it, so i think they should come out with a product to satisfy the customers, and throw in some bells and whistles to entice someone like ME to buy it. I'd love to impressed.
