Understood, and I didn't write that anyway, my post said Jim alluded to "Monte Haul isn't bad; it's good". Not THE way, to play, just a good one that he himself prefers.

And I agree, if you are having fun, go for it. I still don't think personal style should be forced on a buyer however.

And, like others here, I enjoyed the first-edition, childlike wonder that many of the FF products were written in. I got a lot of use of many of their books, mechanical snafus aside.

Heck, I nearly laughed my butt off when in one adventure they had the nemesis as "Loorayne, demon queen of hell" or somesuch, a wonderful jab at a certain TSR owner. :)
