As far as I remember that's how we're playing it. With Str 19 he does (2d6+4) x2, +5d6. Lots of yummy temporary hitpoints, and one very disheartened opponent.
A channeled touch of Idiocy versus a spellcaster is also nice. A swift True Strike helps against Shield etc, and a crit means 2d6 off Int, Wis and Cha. They also stand to lose the ability to cast their higher level spells.
