Dwarven Stronghold - a community effort

I am willing to lead this if people are still interested in contributing and are willing to let me lead. I think that things should be decided by group majority but there has to be a final say, and if it comes down to that, then I can do it. I also would like to see this project keep going.

You've got my vote

My first choice is Billy Beanbag, but only because this was his idea to begin with. However, if he's unable or unwilling to man the helm then your enthusiasm and contribution of ideas so far make you a suitable candidate to take his place.

This is, of course, only my (admittedly uninformed) opinion. But you have my support, FWIW.

Hi folks, sorry I've been away... been having intermittent connection problems and have barely been able to keep up with what's going on.

Due to problems in the real world, I am not going to be able to proceed as coordinator of this project. I took on too many things in too short a time, and I don't think that we will get very far under my guidance.

I would still love to be a part of this creation, and I know I have a lot of ideas, but I wanted to open up the discussion of who wants to step up. I believe we've already heard from one such individual. what are your opinions?

As this thread gets going again, I would be glad to help.
My players just entered Dwarven lands in my campaign and I have been working on fleshing out the dwarves a little.

In my world, the dwarves have hollowed out a large mountain for their home and only have limited control over outside areas (thus my question about What Dwarves Eat).
Mountain Dwarves are those whose families still have access to the Mountain, while Hill Dwarves' families were disgraced at some point in the past and retreated to the surrounding hills.

My other idea about dwarves is that each one has to do a masterwork project to become a full citizen. This does not only include craft skills such as blacksmithing and mining but to anything. Dwarves who specialize in things like magical artifacts or adventuring or trade enter the world to accompish their masterwork task.

just my 2 cp.

I have posted a proposed outline for the Dwarven Stronghold document as well as soem general things that most people have agreed upon in the files area of the Yahoo!Group. I hope that everyone checks it out. I also have mad a small banner up for a while in that section, but I thought I would announce it. It is attached to this post as well.
