Ishmael nods. "I agree, though perhaps a quick search before we move on?"

Nars nods to Percy's suggestion. "Ah, Nezrak, this make any, er, sense to you?" If not, Nars is ready to lead on.

I don't believe that Nezrak has the required spell still going or has one left available today. If I am wrong, just let me know.

Nars takes a second look but is unable to find a way into that door.

Moving on down the hallway he comes to the door at the end of the hall right next to the secret passage. The Hieroglyphs carved into this iron bound wooden door have been marred by a gnollish mark of warning hacked crudely into the wood. The lock has been smashed.

 

[Manzanita]

"The gnolls have been in here. There may be some left. Let's push it open." Percy readies her crossbow.

 

[SlagMortar]

"Er, ah, hold on a sec." Nars examines the door to make sure it is not trapped. Then he opens it.

 

[Erekose13]

Nars checks for traps and does not find any. Trying the door he finds it opens easily. Inside you see bookshelves lining the walls crammed full of ancient books and scrolls of varying sizes. A large table stands slightly to the left, upon which rests a three-pronged oil lamp made of silver and gold, surmounted by a tiny wooden asp. The scent of light incense fills the air. Across the room you see another wooden door, also adorned with carvings.

Nars figures the others will want to look at the books. In the meantime, he moves carefully over to the other door to keep an eye on it and search for traps.

There doesn't appear to be any traps on the far door. The door has no lock and bears another Hierglyphic enscription. This one only a few words long.

 

[Manzanita]

Does it appear the gnolls have opened this second door as well? Not that it matters I guess...

"I'll bet there's more magic in here. I'll wait to cast my spell until we go into the next room, though, as I don't have many left." Percy will stay alert and ready for danger. She'll peruse the titles on the shelves, hoping some are in common, but won't plan on touching any yet.

It doesn't look like the other door has been opened by gnolls though no indication of why they hadn't exists. Percy wanders past one of the shelves and all the books look like they have Hieroglyphic titles.
