"OK. Well, I'm almost out of spells. But we've almost cleared out this place. We've still got that one door we can't open, and there are a couple passages beyond that weird pit thing we haven't explored. I say we check that out." says Percy.

With the objects pocketed and most healing complete the party moves to the area with the pit. Again the see brown blood stains coating the walls just before the gaping pit, evidence that a week or two ago gnolls were killed here. Moving to the edge of the pit, Nars can see that a rough passage way continues north and one straight forward to the west. He cannot see all the way down the one to the north, but the one to the west looks like it ends about 20 or 30 feet beyond the pit in a loose pile of rubble.

"Let's try the dead end one first, Nars. Just to make sure. Then we won't have to worry about anything sneaking up behind us from there." suggests Percy.

OOC: How wide's the pit again?

Percy pulls out her immovable rod. "This might help us get across. If we could set it near the wall, halfway across, perhaps we could push ourselves across."

Percy leans out over the pit a bit, after asking Fondar to hold onto her belt from behind just in case. She holds out her rod and presses the button, immobilizing it. "Now. It shouldn't be too hard to get around this corner. Just hold onto the rod, and step around. Then look what's down the corridor. A bit scary, perhaps, since it's dark, and you'll need your hands free to hold the rod. And it would be best to have good balance. Nars, or Rodimus, perhaps, should go first."

"I can, er, ah, do it." Nars grips the rod and leans out to see around the corner. If he doesn't see anything nasty, he steps around to the north side of the pit, using the rod for balance.
