"Yes, about 2 miles west of the hold there is an old stone marker about 3 feet high. Its about 10-20 feet from the forest's edge. Cenerieth will wait for you just inside the forest at the marker." she replies.

"Sounds great." says Percy. She is eager to get going. She's feeling very angry towards the gemhold goblins at the moment. She also knows she has learned a nice new spell and hasn't gotten a chance to use it yet.

"I don't think we need to rest here. We can rest on the road. We've had a lot of experience with that. Are you ready to guide us Thorn?"

The thorn nods and is about to lead the group out of the tent, when the Speaker stops you and says, "A moment more of your time if you will. Before you set out on your journey I'd like to present you with something that might help your cause. We have a sword that has hungered for vengeance against goblin kind for a long time. The sword is called Phaeryn's Rose and has been passed down amongst our tribe for centuries. If you'd use it during the assault we'd be most grateful. I'll also provide you with a small supply of healing poultices should you need them." says the Speaker. She presents you with a finely wrought elven longsword wrapped in a soft hide scabbard. Atop the pommel is a delicate rose of pure mithral and small green elven runes adorn the crossbar. In addition are 6 small leaves wrapped into pouches containing a sweet smelling ointment.

ooc: Phaeryn's Rose is a +1 goblin bane longsword that glows soft green light (not visible during the day). The poultices are each equivalent to cure moderate wounds potions (2d8+3).

Percy bows in thanks, and accepts the sword and leaf pouches. It looks like there are enough for one pouch for each party member. As for the sword, she's not sure who's the best candidate. She figures the group will figure that out soon enough.

"Thank you speaker. You will not regret your trust in us."

The crew sets off with the thorn and Cenerieth, who escorts them an hour north west before heading back to the nomad's camp. Bidding the warrior farewell, the group continues on into the afternoon. After the past couple of days of rain, torrential downpour at times even, the bits of sun poking through the canopy of trees is a welcome relief. Several hours more walking, the Thorn stops the group allowing you to rest. "We can make it another 3 hours tonight if you wish, but I am worried about how you will fare in the failing light. Gemhold is still another day from here.

Gorefoot nods at the Thorn and then looks to Percy. "We should probably rest, not all of us can see in the dark, and carrying torches might be a bad idea."

"We've waited a long time. No need to rush it now." says Percy. "We will rest here if you think it a good spot."

As they make camp, she asks, "So, who's going to use this sword? Maybe you, Nars. It is much better against goblins, than your, um, other sword. But otherwise, I guess Nezrak. You can use a sword, can't you Nezzy? Not that you've ever needed to with these other powerful warriors around."

OOC: As Percy hasn't used any spells, any watch order is fine.

"I do, ah, prefer an, ah, shorter blade. Perhaps, er, Gorefoot could, ah, use it. It is, er, sized wrong, but he's, ah, more than strong enough to, er, use. And it's, ah, his clan home."

Nars will take a middle watch since it is probably darkest then.

"I can't use that. I've never learned how to wield a sword properly. Not talking that the sword will not like me. Anyway, it's too large and I have that mace we fond in the cave. Now I am thinking, Percy, didn't you want a pearl to identify the amulet?" asks Ridik.

"Well, I can take it if nobody else needs it right now.", Nezrak says, apparently not quite used to his new nickname. "Though almost every time I've had to use a sword thus far it's been pretty desperate situation."
