Gorefoot eyes the sword a little suspiciously, "If it's better at killing goblins than my sword, then I'll give it a try."

In your hands, that sord would give you an average of 8 more damage than your greatsword in exchange of a -2 to hit against goblin. Against anyone else, you would fall at -4 to hit and -1 damage. Nars would be the best user for that sword, but if he has some IC reason not to want to wield it, I think Gorefoot would still be teh second best to have it.[/SBLOCK]

"I'll, er, wield it if you, ah, prefer, but, ah, I think you should, er, give it a try. Nezrak is, ah, probably better off with his, er, magic."

OOC:
The size penalty is only -2. I think you were using -4 for your calculation. Nars uses weapon finesse so would take the same -2 penalty for not using a light weapon. Gorefoot's attack bonus is higher than Nars so he will hit more often and he also has cleave.
Either Nars or Gorefoot is probably a better choice than Nezrak since Nezrak likely won't be doing much attacking.

[SBLOCK=OOC] True, so it is plainly better for Gorefoot against Goblin, but still not interesting against other kinds.[/SBLOCK]

ooc: its a loaner for the moment at least thats what the Speaker intended.

The party camps for the night and nothing like the ambush drakes or the petals try to get them this time. Its a peaceful sleep and in the morning the Thorn is ready to head out again. "We should reach the hold by nightfall. Do you want to approach during the cover of darkness, when the goblins may have the advantage? Or would you like to move more slowly today and approach in the morning?"

Gorefoot looks to Percy when the Thorn asks about their tactical approach.

OOC: Gorefoot will use the sword for the time being then, if there are no objections.

"Goblins don't need light, but some of us will see nothing if we approach at night without light. And light can be seen from far. Once inside the caves, we won't have a choice, but I think we should do the scouting at day not at night, to not show ourselves to them." suggests Ridik

Percy gives the sword to Gorefoot, but not before making some awkward swings and stabs with it.

She sighs. "It's a nice weapon, but not the thing for a princess."

She agrees with Ridik that their approach should be during the day. "I don't see that we're in a hurry here. We want to win. And we want to maintain our chance of surprise. Sadly, I don't think there's anyone inside to rescue. This time, our mission is to destroy."

Rodimus pops his knuckles in satisfaction when Percy notes their mission being one of destruction. Of course, he often pops his knuckles, so many of the group probably don't even pay attention to his habit anymore.
