E2: The Secret of Gemhold [Patlin Judging]

The extremely talented dwarf is quite hidden from their view. While the others prepare for their ambush and sneak into position, the little goblin returns with Sniff. Sniff is not a goblin as Nars has assumed. No Sniff is one of those ugly hairless dogs he saw earlier.

As Sniff and the other goblin, Bogrun nears Nars, the goblin dog starts to smell the air. While he had not been barking up until now, the dog starts barking this horrid rough throaty bark. Bogrun smacks him and the dog turns to snap at the little goblin but misses. Bogrun and Sniff get closer and the lead goblin stops them and says in goblin, "What smell Sniff?"

[Surprise Round]

Nars' bolt strikes true slamming into the lead goblin with force and precision.

Sniff moves to action quickly and gets away from Bogrun with ease. Reaching the base of the tree it barks up at Nars, but cannot reach him.

ooc: I'm going to encourage rolling more, though I wont wait on rolls if I am ready to post the next round. I don't have a map prepared for this combat so here is the rough situation.

Nars is in his tree. Sniff is at the base of the tree. 4 goblins are about 20' away to the left. Bogrun is 40' away to the right. Percy and Rodimus are sneaking up and are about 60' away and can start to see the battle through the trees. Gorefoot and Ridik being slower as well as Nezrak are about 80' back (20' from Percy and Rodimus).
 

Percy moves forward 30 feet or so, and prepares a magic missile spell. She will cast it if any of the goblins retreat towards the fort.
 

As he doesn't have an unobstructed line to any of the goblins, Rodimus decides to circle them a bit so he can position himself between the goblins and the fort.

OoC: Init (1d20+2=6)

Double move without sneaking, so that's 100ft covered, should be nicely able to get between the goblins and the fort.
 

If a goblin manages to climb the tree up to Nars reach before his turn, Nars will pull out Felhunter and stab the offending creature.
If not, he reloads his crossbow and fire another bolt.

OOC:
initiative (1d20+4=15)
Felhunter: attack +10, damage 1d6+3 (+3d6 sneak attack if goblin climbing)
Crossbow: attack +9, damage 1d8 (+3d6 sneak attack if goblin climbing)
 

Gorefoot moves up with Percy as quietly and quickly as he can, though his short legs make it hard to keep pace. When he reaches the edge of the trees and everyone looks to be in position, he will draw his blade and charge the nearest goblin.

OOC: Initiative (1d20+2=4)
 

Nezrak starts to make his way towards the front to a position where he can shoot the enemies with his bow.
