I wouldn't really call them easter eggs if they're plainly visible in the image.

Yeah, it's a bit of a stretch. It's more just "the 8 things that are on the cover" unless they mean some smaller, hard to see details hidden on there.

Ok, that's weird isn't it? That seems weird to me but I suppose it's all relative, and we are talking about D&D here.

I honestly though it was probably some famous magical object that everyone knew about but me.
