Explore the lands of Eberron in this campaign sourcebook for the world’s greatest roleplaying game.

This book provides everything players and Dungeon Masters need to play Dungeons & Dragons in Eberron—a war-torn world filled with magic-fueled technology, airships and lightning trains, where noir-inspired mystery meets swashbuckling adventure. Will Eberron enter a prosperous new age or will the shadow of war descend once again?

• Dive straight into your pulp adventures with easy-to-use locations, complete with maps of floating castles, skyscrapers, and more.

• Explore Sharn, a city of skyscrapers, airships, and noirish intrigue and a crossroads for the world’s war-ravaged peoples.

• Include a campaign for characters venturing into the Mournland, a mist-cloaked, corpse-littered land twisted by magic.

• Meld magic and invention to craft objects of wonder as an artificer—the first official class to be released for fifth edition D&D since the Player’s Handbook.

• Flesh out your characters with a new D&D game element called a group patron—a background for your whole party.

• Explore 16 new race/subrace options including dragonmarks, which magically transform certain members of the races in the Player’s Handbook.

• Confront horrific monsters born from the world’s devastating wars.

There is an alternate cover for game stores:

WotC's Jeremy Crawford confirmed that "The book incorporates the material in "Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron" and adds a whole lot more."

Eh, as they say in Greyhawk, "Art is in the eyes of the Beholder, and the lairs of the dragon."

I am not a fan of this cover, at all. If I squint, I can kinda sorta see the attempt at a pulp novel- but the combination of attempting a pulp novel and the 5e house style makes for a terrible mishmash (IMO).

And as someone else said - Rising from the last war? Really? That is ... basic. So basic. Ya basic, Eberron.

Not the effect I would have gone for.

Actually, based on the D&D Beyond material, I think that while the cover art is accurate, what's on Amazon might not be final: might have more if the airship on the final cover, which adds to the Eberron feel and makes the name funny. I'm just glad it's not Somebody's Guide to Something.

Right there with you. Not that I mind in general terms, since I'm customising the Mournland somewhat anyway, but I'd love to see some Mournland monsters - living spells, carrion crabs etc.
Yeah, I've already got much of my Mournlands set up for the players already (having adapted Whitehearth from Shadows of the Last War, and updated a few Living Spells, the carrion crab to 5E) but having a completely new Mournlands adventure would be cool.

Although now that I think about it... there's still a chance one of my groups might go after the Lord of Blades down the line, so maybe if they hold off on chasing after him the book might get released in time to see if there is anything I can use in it.

Yeah, Chris Perkins really got into talking about the Lord of Blades on Dragon Talk the other week: I reckon the Mournlands Adventure will basically be a Lord of Blades centered module.

I completely rewrote that adventure and scaled up the difficulty. The main antagonists in my version was House Tharashk scavengers, the insane constructs within the underground lab, and a morkoth lurking in an arcanioactive cooling tank. The big climax at the end was a Mad Max style vehicles battle on the way back to Darguun with Lord of Blades zealots on robocycles and a grav tank versus the PCs in a House Orien armored semi. I only used living fireballs in this one and they would spawn whenever a PC would throw a fireball. It was a tough choice - do you use a fireball to take out all these House Tharashk orcs closing in, thus creating a living fireball, or do they swarm over your lines?

The players do NOT want to go back to the Mournland. It was rough.

That's probably going to be in the Dark Sun book, based on what they have said before. They haven't even tested a new Psion yet after the Mystic failed.

The Mystic "failed?" When was that decided? I know it got a lot of changes and ended up at version #3 but I haven't seen any official statement saying it was scrapped outright.
