... and Irena spots an odd leather bundle stashed of the side of the road. It contains only a set of common clothes in a style you have never seen before.

OOC: Darn it I was hoping for something more RP or combative lol
Shall we continue on?

As you make your way along a fog starts to roll in from the moors to the south.

Tall shapes loom out of the dense fog that surrounds everything. The muddy ground underfoot gives way to slick, wet cobblestones. The tall shapes become recognizable as village dwellings. The windows of each house stare out from pools of blackness. No sound cuts the silence except for mournful sobbing that echoes through the streets from a distance.

This must be the village of Barovia, but a cheerless place this is and you feel unwelcome to your bones. A yellow glow comes from down a side street in the opposite direction as the sobbing. The globe of light must be a lantern or torch due to its small flickering in the slight breeze.

As you walk down the empty street, you come across a large two story building with sparse light coming from behind heavy curtains, and a sign creaking on it's hinges above the door.

"Bildrath's Mercantile"

But the sobbing is coming from the next building over. A dark worn down home, that is dark save for a bit of light peeking out of the boarded up attic window. Th rest of the building looks to be boarded up from the outside as well. The door and all the windows you can see have old worn timbers criss-crossing them from the outside.

The mournful sobbing continues and seems to be coming from the attic above.

Digger followed the others into the ominous looking town. The whole time the short hairs on the back of his neck an on his forearms were standing up on end as if some sort of current were running through his body. When they finally came to the building and eyed its delapidated state he grunted. "I don't like this."
