Sigh, you guys take all the fun out of salvaging. You know that right?

Rover will keep a watch over the sensors, paying particular attention to both the debris field and the other shuttle.

Did any of you ever scan that shuttle?

While subscribing to Cade's tactical network Glitter starts to gear up, suiting into her vacsuit and checking weapons systems are all in working order.
While performing these relatively standard tasks she scans the shuttle attached to the hub, cross referencing any markings to see if it belongs to GDS-43 Torus or is just "visiting".

"Ready when you are guys, I agree with Cade's assessment, we should tread carefully until we know what we are dealing with.

Glitter finishes with a scan for mesh activity or any sort of local netowrk activity or signals. This scan stays up and is maintained by Max as the shuttle approaches.

The shuttle is identified as the "Ring Rover" and is registered to GDS-43 Torus. Its VI appears to still be online and begins to flood you with information about the shuttle. Ring Rover's batteries are nearly drained, with just enough power remaining for the VI to communicate. Information coming in indicates the shuttle was used primarily for taking experiments away from the habitat when necessary and could, in a pinch, be used as a life boat, though it's not nearly large enough to accommodate all of the habitat's potential inhabitants, not physically, anyway.

The debris field is fairly predictable in its motion; it seems to have had a lot of time to settle into an orbit around the habitat. The largest concentration of debris is clustered near the part of the habitat furthest from the docking airlocks. It does not appear that you will have any difficulty navigating through it.

As the shuttle is docking Glitter will attempt an infosec to hack the memory banks of the Ring Rover.. specifically looking for areas of data that could "house" infomorphs.

"The shuttle is online guys, looks to be a transport for habitat experiments, currently empty but I'm digging deeper"

OOC: Is it possible to aid Glitter's infosec roll? If so, Cade would offer to help out in checking.

Yes, you can "aid another", as it were. With Teamwork (page 117) each help adds +10 onto the Primary Actor's roll up to a maximum of +30. You do not need to be trained in a skill to help.

OOC: Then I shall most definitely lend a hand, and thanks for the page ref. I need to read through the book more.

You are able to hack into Ring Rover's memory banks, but there are no signs of infomorphs in the shuttle's computer systems.

Lights on the airlock's docking ring blink slowly as you maneuver to dock. The proximity alert sounds and your shuttle's computer begins counting down the distance to dock. With a clunk, a lurch, and the hiss of equalizing atmosphere's, you dock with GDS-43 Torus. An automated message greets you and all indications are there is atmosphere on the other side of the airlock door.

Ensuring her vac suit is engaged and her SMG is slung within reach, Glitter gets Max to continue sweeping for radio signals as she waits for someone to lead the way in.

"Ready when you guys are, lets go get us a payday"

Steadily, over the course of the infosec checks and docking maneuvers, Cade gears up in a methodical manner. Every think has a place and a purpose, in the best spot known through repetition and practice. It's a simple concept, if you do something methodically in practice, even if it feels less-than-natural, it will become natural under stressful situations and crunch time.

Shard pistol on his strong carry side, vibroblade inverted upon the small of his morph's back, monofilament sword sheathed just over his right shoulder, with needful utilities spread throughout his smart vacsuit.

[Dinah, are all systems in the green]

[Systems check confirms, Cade]

"I'm good to go," states Cade as he heads to join the docking party. "Although let's not rush in, always nice to check for any unnetworked party favors left behind."

It's only paranoia if no one is out to get you, right?

The airlock door slides open, beyond which, a light haze hangs in the air. It appears the air circulation system has either been turned off or is inoperative. Through your suits' external amplifiers, you can hear a repetitive beeping coming from the left corridor exiting the airlock.

Opposite the door, racks hold environmental suits. The suits are coated in a layer of dust. A computer terminal flickers to the right of the suit rack. Above the rack, a sign indicates the left corridor leads to the Recreation Room, Sick Bay, the Medical Lab, and Bunk Rooms A & B. The sign further indicates the right corridor leads to the Galley, the Head, Storage, and the Science Labs.
