I think early 2003. I'm worried that Monte's book may knock the need for something like this out if it doesn't hit market first. Mlahvoks books, even those not written by Monte, tend to be top notch but the early cover of this product and the buzz is quite good.

Well we had to get a new developer and writer to finish up what Matt Colville couldn't to get this book done.

Still no release date though - since it has to go to playtest then layout.

Once things are moving along more - we will announce them.

Skip Williams is writing Cry Havoc for Malhavoc Press. It's an event book about war, including a mass combat system. Todd Lockwood is doing the cover. It'll be out middle of next year.

Hmmm... Thanks. I expect it to be good.

On the other hand, what I'm looking for is more of a "strategic-level play" book, which is what Eden's Fields of Blood sounds like - something that will let me do, say, Birthright in 3E, or in a setting of my choice.

Monte, I dont care if you hijack the thread. I saw that once you had worked on a D20 Mass combat system and were going to put it into the DMG but space did not allow it. Is this that system?
