Currently we do not use regular D&D deities. This keeps players from using deity specific powers (Talented Athletics),feats (Silvery Glow) and paragon paths (Fortune Blessed) or other things that require a specific deity as a prerequisite.
My proposal is either:
A: Allow players to use anything that requires a specific deity as a prerequisite, as long as they can justify the god they worship giving it to their followers(Mars would not grant Fortune Blessed).
Or
B:When the player chooses a deity to worship they can choose a D&D deity they represent for powers/feats/paragon paths etc. as long as they can justify the god they worship giving their followers those abilities they use. This would put a limit on players.
