Elements of Magic

Has anyone tried running a PbP game with the Elements of Magic rules?

I have been thinking about running a generic game (using modified generic classes from UA) and had the thought that it would be nice to rid myself of the Vancian spellcasting system (particularly after reading David Eddings The Belgariad and The Malloreon series) for this game.

The elements of magics rules I've had for a while kicking around, but didn't know if anyone would be willing to play in such a house-rule intensive game.

Thoughts? Feelings?

Check the 'Similar PDF Products to this thread' links above (and realize, that this is one of the rare occasions, where they actually make sense! :p).

*chuckles* Thanks Thanee...

Thanks guys. :)

Goodness...the ratings are rather glowing. Give me some time to convince myself to spend ten bucks on a book I may never use outside a PBP, and I'll most likely be in. :)

Awesome. It is an excellent work, I have to spend more time reading through it myself if I'm going to use it (would be easier if I printed it out, but oh well).

I haven't run (nor played) in any sort of game using the Elements of Magic rules though I am certainly interested. I second Voadam's question and add 'or Mythic Earth'? And if Revised would you be using Lyceian Arcana?
