Elf - F/T in Rules Cyclopedia rules

Folks
I noticed that Rules Cyclopedia (RC) does not have stats/rules for Elf-F/T. Due to the latter, how hard would it be to create or House Rule this into RE?

I cut my teeth on AD&D 2E; however, for some strange reason I want to try a ‘back to basic’ type game. Currently – my game is getting too much bloat with Combat and Tactics, and some of the other books. I suspect the latter is peaking my interest in RC. However, I noticed some character/class combinations are not included in RC, yet the back of the books shows how to convert AD&D 2E to RC, but nothing about Elf-F/T, or Half-elf F/T.

Looking for suggestions on doing the Elf-F/T combo for ‘RC’, and if it would unbalance the game. I don’t want to get too far into AD&D 2E territory. If the latter happens, then there is no reason to run a ‘Back to basic’ game.

Looking for suggestions …. Thank you

After thinking about this - I guess the easiest approach would be to take the Dwarf F/T and use the Elf racial abilities. The latter could provide something interesting, but not sure. Has anyone used race/character stats as a template to create a new playable race?

My own suggestion would be to scratch build a class. It's what I did when I created Goblins for B/X.

At a glance, what I would suggest would be this.

1d6 HD
Magic User (or maybe fighter) XP tables.
Proficiency with any weapon.
Normal table for thief skills.
Can wear armour as heavy as chainmail, no shields.

I don't remember the ins and outs of weapon mastery and the like in RC off the top of my head, but if they advanced in that sphere like a fighter subclass it should be OK.

Alternatively you could just straight up allow a multiclass. I'd suggest checking out Labyrinth Lord in that case. They've created a framework that really lets you take bits and bobs from B/X BECMI and 1st Ed AD&D, mash em all together and be reasonably confident that it'll work out ok. The face to face campaign I've been playing in for the past 7 years has done that and nothing has exploded yet. Hell we even use Chainmail on occasion for mass combat. I mean we have a party that has a B/X Elf, a 1st ed AD&D Paladin, a Labyrinth Lord Magic User, AD&D treasure tables ect.

One of the beautiful things about Pre-Unearthed Arcana D&D is that it's pretty damn tough to break the system, and when you do (looking at you UA) it's pretty obvious.
