[ELH] The Epic Spellsword (ideas)

I found out that I'd been unduly strict in the spells that could be cast through the sword - I just recently found the FAQ answer where he clarifies that rays and other ranged touch attacks work. I was going by 'it's targeted if it says 'Target' in the description.'
Which FAQ is this in? As far as I can tell, it's not in the Tome & Blood FAQ (10/15/2002 version) nor the Main D&D FAQ (01/30/2003 version).

Thanks!

I don't have the FAQ here at work with me, but it wasn't a Spellsword-specific question. Look for a clarification of the definition of 'targeted spell', probably in the Main FAQ, and you should find it.

Ahah, here it is - from the Main FAQ, page 54:

To determine if a spell is “targeted,” look at the information that proceeds each spell description. If there is a Target or Targets entry, the spell is targeted. A spell also is “targeted” if it has an Effect entry and the effect is a ray or something else that requires a melee or ranged attack to strike a foe, such as the missile created by the Melf’s acid arrow spell or the beam of fire from a flame blade spell.
