Elrond in the LotR movie...

A lot of the "Mr. Anderson" leaked through in his character, I think.

I'd dispute that. The way Hugo played Elrond didnt remind me of Agent Smith at all. But then I've seen Hugo in MANY roles, unlike alot of non-Australians who probably have only seen him in The Matrix..and perhaps 'Priscilla'.
