Neither. I hate them both equally.
Half of what Sound of Azure said was half of what I was going to say, so I'll just add that the 'standard' (i.e., D&D) dwarves are just as undwarflike as D&D elves are unelflike. Both of them make me gnash my teeth and wail "oh the humanity". Or something.

That isn't to say I necessarily like elves. It's just if the choice is elf or dwarf, I'll go elf.
Oddly enough my favourite PHB race is human.
