EN Publishing $1 GM's Day Sale

To clarify, I am the cardholer, I have not moved in 3+ years, my billing address is correct, and matches my shipping address, my bank statement comes here every month I am able to order from sites like amazon etc. I do not know what is prompting this issue but to me it seems clear that the issue must be on the rpg now side of things or else it would be happening in other situations and or at other sites. In the end its not a big deal it was only six pdfs and I am sure I will be able to get the charge removed from my bank account, it is however somewhat disappointing that the end result is I don't get what sounded like some neat pdfs.

Is it possible your address on your RPGNow.com account is an old one and does not match your actual address?

I'm trying to help you here! OK, to summarise (I think I've got this right): the billing address of your card is the same as the address you have registered at RPGNow, and you believe that, therefore, there's an issue at RPGNow's end?

Sorry if im coming across as a twit, its not my intention. I just opened the account before I placed the order. I though I had an account already but the site didn't recognize any of my email addys so I started from scratch. I Can't say with any authority thats its on the rpg now side its just my theory based on the fact that my addys are correct and I use this card all the time both in person and online. The counter to my line of thinking however, is that if it were on the rpg now side why aren't more people having problems. In the end I just don't know.

I also tried to buy a few PDFs under the sale and got the AVS error. In hindsight, the problem is obvious: I live in St. Paul, but the CC company has my address in their system as "Saint Paul".

At this point, I'm not sure how exactly things will sort themselves out - will the address "discrepancy" simply cause the transaction to be canceled entirely, or will someone at RPGNow correct the problem?

I'll be a little disappointed if this means that my purchase is simply canceled - it's too late to go back and retry with "corrected' address information :(

WTF?!? Why can't I download my stuff?!?

enworld is my first experience purchasing rpg. Recently I purchased over 85 pdfs and I'm having a difficult -- if not impossible -- time downloading them. After downloading roughly 10 (all free, interestingly enough), I now receive the following error message:

You must be signed in before you download your eBooks.
You can sign in here.

If you believe you received this message in error, click contact us and let us know what happened.

If you are sure that you have signed in, but are still receiving this error, then click on the following button and then try logging in again.

I am logged on. When I select the "here" link, I'm sent to either RPGDrivethru or RPGNow, which I never signed up, mind you. When I log on those pages, I find my account, my order, and, when I select a link, I get the above error message. WTF?!?

Help! At this rate, I'm either going to purchase at the original publishers' site or stick with tried and true print.

joela,

Unfortunately, Morrus doesn't run that storefront, nor do any of the admins here at ENWorld. It's run by the folks at RPGNow and DriveThruRPG. James, who is from RPGNow and DriveThruRPG, posted his email above if you can't get in touch with their customer service - webmaster@rpgnow.com .

I hope you get your downloads!

OK. Just to clarify, you can't buy anything from EN World; the affiliate store is actually RPGNow, not part of EN World (check the URL). RPGNow and DriveThruRPG are the same company and run the store(s).

So, the only people who can help you out are RPGNow - I've emailed RPGNow customer service on your behalf, so hopefully they'll respond soon.

Thanks, Bacris. Me, too. As I said, this is my first foray into downloaded pdfs and I'll have to admit I was a bit nervous. I had heard a lot of horror stories from folks who download and lots of speculation over at rpg.net that the merger of drivethru/rpgnow would be nothing but trouble.

I've already sent a message to drivethru/rpgnow via the troubleshooting window when the above problem first arose. I hope they answer shortly: I don't mind waiting for an issue to be resolved, but I hate when no one responds even with a simple, "we're sorry about the problem and we're quickly working to resolve the issue." note.
