My Rant on People Not Posting a NPC

Time has apparently already passed, and I cannot come up with anything printable. So...

You had 48 hours, that is not enough time to come up with something? Anything? My point is that YOU agreed to participate in this contest. Other people were willing to actually follow through on their word and submit a NPC, but you took their place. If you say that you are going to do something, then do it...

It's easy to get frustrated, Mark, but I can easily imagine daily events preventing enough time to work on it. We don't want to create a hostile environment here!

On the other hand, WayneLigon, you should have posted whatever you had come up with, even if it was crappy, incomplete and a certain loss. At least then we'd know you'd given it some thought. At least this wasn't an IronDM contest... you only get 24 hours for those. It's also unfair to your opponent, who put in a load of wasted work.

Good job orbitalfreak! Both of our entries have entirely different strong points (not saying more so as not to influence the judging). It will be interesting to see which way the judges go.

This was a really hard combination for some reason as well, I thought.
I got them all to fit, eventually, but I had to jump up and down on them a lot to get them to do so, and I'm still not sure how well it worked.
I have a collection of PC's working through adventure hook 4 right now, so we'll see how it works. I am pleased that it's the only time the party paladin and the party rogue agreed on the same hook instantly.

I agree and I have been nothing but postive, but it was a quick rant at that... I tried to be as nice as possible to get my point across. I guess that I am just bitter that I got bumped!

Good job as always on the NPC by the way... I really thought that your NPC was better last time we dueled! I really liked the plot.

I did, but nothing came up. Not even anything stupid. Having it over the weekend didn't help; my weekends are way fuller than any weekday. Just... nothing came to me.

At least this wasn't an IronDM contest... you only get 24 hours for those.

Oh, he does, but in many ways it's the competition and judging that's the fun part. Also, he could have won just posting the NPC's name and nothing else and not bothered putting the work into it that he did.
At least he didn't totally waste his efforts since he has his players going through his scenario as an adventure.
