does anyone have this book?

if so, do you know what spells would make the closest replacements for the spells breeze and wind armor.

Nothing really covers either of those spells completely. You could replace breeze with mage hand or resistance...but neither really capture the feel. While wind armour really fills the void of 2nd lvl armour spells; but, I suppose gust of wind or protection from arrows could suffice. Personally, I'd just use the spells, as writen, in the Elementalism book.

i can't, it's for print and there are copyright issues. something close to the levels and function (even if there isn't anything really all that close), just the best analogs that there are.

It was a couple of years ago, but IIRC Wind Armor is just a more flavored version of Mage Armor. It should give +4 deflection to AC, which is very slightly better than Mage Armor which gives an armor bonus (tho deflection doesn't stack with rings), but it had some extras against ranged attacks, maybe the reason why having it 2nd level. Also IIRC the duration was very long, probably the same 1 hour/lv.

Is it impossible for you to just use Mage Armor? Does it really have to be 2nd level?

About Breeze I seem to remember that it basically did nothing :p it was just a very flavorful little cantrip that you could use to create effects for no particular benefits, at least no benefit in combat for sure. Its use reminded me of Prestidigitation although that popular cantrip of course has completely different effects... You could add a new use of Prestidigitation consisting in creating a weak gust of wind, but I am afraid this is not what you want.

Would another OGC source suffice?

I'm sure I could dig something up somewhere.

I don't have to use the same levels or effects or anything, I just thought it would be nice to have something as close as I could get, mostly for balance and/or flavor reasons. :)

I mean, I could happily replace wind armour with mage armor, or even protection from arrows or gust of wind or a combination thereof; and I could replace breeze with prestidigitation or perhaps mage hand or resistance.

Possibly! If you can find something, I can see what can be done. :)

How far can you go with just adapting the flavor? When I suggested Mage Armor, I didn't say but I was thinking about tweaking the description of that spell so that it looks like the Mage Armor is made of wind, but otherwise functions perfectly like a regular MA.

I have done these sort of flavor changes many times with spells IMC (to NPC but also to my PC), but it seems to me that most gamers can't suffer flavor/image modifications of PHB spells and instead demand them to look always the same as the standard description...

well, this was just for a list of spell-like abilities, so i really don't need to get that far into it. ;) just a switcheroo should suffice.

I'm not sure what you're waiting for. Do you know the descriptions of the spells you listed? Meaning you are unsure of what would really suffice as a substitution. Or are you hoping for better examples of relevant replacements?

just waiting to see if there are more comments. if not, i'll go with what i have. :)

but yeah, kind of a mix of all of that. in the end, it's not a huge issue. i can just largely pick at random if i want to, but i like to be more accurate than that. ;)
