Catein sits near Bell and methodically attends to its maintenance while seeming to move its head ever-so-slightly to the music. it keeps to itself for the time being.

After a few minutes the music comes to an end. Bell breathes out and puts the flute carefully away.

"Tracker's Lament by Grett Hinkley." She turns her head and smiles briefly at Atlas whose comfort and kind words she deeply appreciated. Perhaps a few heroes still. She stood and listened to Veruzak, whose careful choice of words seemed obvious. Very well. We need to move forward not back. We can settle for now I suppose. She did not address him imediately though instead she acted as if she did not hear and made her way over to Kendrick. She took off her Amulet and handed it to him.

"This will serve the group better with you." She tried to make it sound like he did not have a choice in the matter. She then turned to Martelai but spoke loudly, addressing the group.

"When the beings touched me, I saw the coast, then the town and finally a series of caves beneath the town. I beleive the source of the creatures, and the central control we will find below us. Seeing as these creatures reek of the sea, we may find our entrance on the beach."

She turned her face to Veruzak for a moment then contined speaking to all. "Did one room over the others seems easier to secure? I certainly agree that we shouldnt leave these people outside. I feel confident for one more battle. Two and we will loose some of our members. I do not know what others saw. If you feel confident that we can end this tonight I will follow. Otherwise I think we should set watch and rest up here. It seems likely we will be attacked while we do, and we don't want to draw more creatures to the town."

It is not a matter of whether I think we can or not, we must! Shadows seem to mist around the Shadar-Kai raised eladrin. A true moral code is dependent upon executing ones duties, and keeping your moral contract. Even if it may cost ones life. The eladrin wizard looks pensive suddenly, Bell, may I speak with you, alone. asks Veruzak in a familial tone.

"Yes, yes! Bell that's exactly what I saw!" Martelai joins the group after his short foray for tables and doors.

"That was very nice song, by the way."

"I can go on if we agree on it. There is a risk of this 'things' spreading to all outlying communities, especialy if that controling mind can manifest these seekers wherever. But there is slight problem with that plan...those beasts you captured..." - he motions to Kendrick and Veruzak - "They should be guarded and not just left lying around, especially with helpless humans bound nearby. Maybe some of the locals or Yurian know of some caves nearby?"

"Veruzak, you might want to replace that note I put on the cottage with something more permanent if you have such. I'm sorry I didn't recognize you when we met, later there was no time for talk."

OOC: where is the coast? Would we pass near the town if we go to it?

Veruzak looks toward Martelai, The spiders are doubtful to injure people who have already become mindless. Though I'd like all our, new possesions, to be guarded. The spiders, the brain-dead zombies, even the house, really deserve a guard. The eladrin glances about as if one may step out of the air they breathe.

Wizardly fingers flippantly indicate the note, The official claim form is permanent enough, until the site is reregistered with the local government. It's not as though you answer to me, the institute reinforces individual sovereignty. Apologies are not necessary, it was I that failed to recognize a member. Though it would have been nice to know sooner than now. The last sentence doesn't seem to be as forceful as before, Veruzak looks sincere in holding no grudge against Martelai.

He then turns to Bell and reiterates, May I speak with you alone, perhaps behind the house, while the group begins to rearrange bodies? There is something you must know. Veruzak thinks about Bell's heritage, and what that may mean to the girl. He also makes a mental note to buy grade bands, and update the IAC letter at The Hanged Man. So much to do with freshly made societies, even when they have Igors. No... Especially when they have Igors! It seemed to Veruzak the Institute for Arcane Ciphers had blossomed overnight, with new recruitment offices popping up all over! *It's no wonder I don't know all the members, we've grown exponentially...*

Bell looked at Veruzak cautiously. When he had first asked her to speak alone she was about to say no outright, but when he asked again and said he had information for her, something seemed to tug at her mind. He is so creepy, I can't believe I didn't think so before. She examined the markings on his face. The way he speaks and presents himself. This reeks of villain pretending to be good only to betray the hero later.

She looked at Catein and Atlas. Maybe I should take someone with me. He'd probably just make up something else or speak all cryptically. What if I'm suppossed to think he's the villain? Maybe he's really a good guy that the hero doesn't trust do to prejudice and then someone will die!

"Pfft! Fine!" Bell exclaims throwing her hands up in the air, as if she had been debating extensivley with a person as oppossed to herself. She stomps around the back of the house.

Following behind the upstart caster, Veruzak smiled at the zest for life.*Even when she is acquiescing, her fires run high! Proof positive Bell is Shadar-kai.
Ugh, I'm rhyming... How to phrase her birth right delicately though, so that she doesn't feel lost or alone...
I know. *

When Veruzak was comfortable, and Bell felt they were in private, he began. Bell, I have reason to believe you are born of my people.

The wizard waits before continuing, watching in case the young lass goes into shock.

Atlas notices her look and expression " I'll be right here if you need help ". While Bell and Veruzak are behind the cabin, he starts to bind the two legged and four legged softlings. He puts them safely inside the cabin except for Ryan and joins the others outside. " We must travel back and report. Then it would be wise to try to find this entrance at the beach and stop the beast doing this to these people. What do you say? "
