From that list I only got the scottish dwarf in one of my games.

To be honest, I have seen much worse ranging from Xena to Tarzan clones (complete with swinging from trees).
Generally I have much less of a problem with people emulating a stereotype or even cloning a known D&D character. Clones of generic movie characters are much worse. THe D&D clones at least do fit into the game.

...You have my attention, but I don't understand. How's a Deck help a disaster player?

as mentioned, I didn't say "help". (and I prefer "facilitator" for his natural inclinations, rather than sadistic; the other players do just fine, usually)

Actually, though, it is helping their disaster. More efficient, really. It's like handing someone juuuuuuust enough rope...

Ya know...

Perhaps we can make a NEW Drow archetype...based on Jimmy McMillan?

I know this thread was started as a humor thing as was this comment, and it was fun to poke a stick at the decaying equine that is the "Drizzt" archetype.

But Dannyalcatraz has a point...why DON'T we make a new drow archetype. Right here and now. What better place or qualified people to throw together a stellar heroic (or villainous) figure to live on in gaming infamy?

Any takers?

Can we call him J.R.R. Token? (Been wanting to do that myself...)

As opposed to a good guy, I propose we make him some flavor of neutral, one part Grey Mouser, one part Marquis de Carabas...

Sure. Why not? Some form of Neutral is fine with me.

As to the name...letttt's put a pin in the name and see what other people throw into the hopper, shall we? ;)

Regardless of name and build, what is needed is a way to disseminate it in a highly visible form. Drizzt has how many hundreds of thousands or books sold?

Yeah, I know this is TEH INTRAWEB and all, but that doesn't neceesaily translate into people seeing him...or her.
